What Happens During My Visit?
Your first visit will take about one hour; subsequent visits are about 30 – 45 minutes long. Most patients come to therapy twice a week for about 5 weeks for the most effective results. At the end of your visit, we will supply you with any equipment (such as bands) necessary for you to continue doing your exercises at home. We also provide you with a link to photos and videos demonstrating the exercises we recommend for you, so you can easily review them on your phone at home (or we can print diagrams of the exercises if you prefer).
What should I wear?
Please wear clothing that is loose and comfortable, and can easily expose the body part we’re treating.
Do you take my insurance?
We take many different types of insurances; to confirm we accept yours, please contact our Billing Department at (616) 459-4343.

What Our Patients Are Saying
“Very happy with my initial visit to OAM PT. Check in was friendly and fast. [My therapist] was welcoming, knowledgeable, answering each of my questions while helping me through my first workout.”
-Mary J.
“Great therapists at OAM. The “land” therapist worked with me and gave me exercises to do at home. It also felt good to get in a warm pool to start doing exercises in the water to get my body strong after spinal fusion surgery.”
-Mary A.
“Just had my first physical therapy session and [my therapist] did a very thorough job, both in the very knowledgeable explanation he gave about the various injured tendons, muscles and bones, and also in the actual physical therapy he provided. And even before and after the PT, the quality treatment began with the receptionist.”
-Joseph
“[My therapist] had obviously looked at my chart, listened attentively, was gentle and conservative in manipulating my foot.”
-Patricia
“Very professional and caring staff. I’ll admit that I went into my PT after a spinal fusion thinking it was a waste (but required by my surgeon). I was wrong. They were great to work with!!”
-Dan
“I was hesitant to try PT again after not seeing results [elsewhere] for so many years. After my first visit I am now confident my recovery is on the right path. [My therapist] is a pleasure to work with, she is an excellent listener who digs into patient feedback to get results.”
-Theodore
“Great first visit with physical therapist. Feel the therapist is knowledgeable, very qualified, and engaged with helping in my recovery plan.”
-Amanda
“This has been an incredible help. Everything is individually chosen for what each patient needs.”

-Merle
“My care plan was personalized to fit my needs. I felt that [my therapist] was highly competent and took my concerns seriously. She was very helpful in getting me started on a rehab program. Enjoyed working with her!”

-Debra
“[My therapist] was exceptional. Courteous and well versed, informed and explained everything she was doing and why and what was required of me to help with the healing process. I am very pleased with my time there.”
