Mako Hip and Knee Replacements
Before surgery, a CT scan of your joint is taken to create a 3D virtual model of your specific anatomy. This helps your surgeon assess your bone structure, the extent of any disease, joint alignment, and the surrounding tissue. With Mako’s 3D model, your surgeon can tailor a surgical plan to your unique body. During the procedure, your surgeon directs Mako’s robotic arm, which is equipped with AccuStop™ haptic technology, enabling them to make precise cuts and safeguard your healthy bone. Most arthroscopic surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to go home the same day.
