Not necessarily. While some insurance carriers require a referral, OAM Sports Medicine can schedule you a regular consult without a referral.

Yes. OAM Sports Medicine wants every athlete to get the care they need right when they need it. During the season we offer Saturday Services at the Metro Health Sports Medicine Center and Metro Health Caledonia, because a Friday night injury shouldn’t have to wait for a Monday morning appointment. For more urgent care, OAM Sports Medicine is always on standby at our three acute care locations—Metro Health Hospital, OAM NOW and Metro Health/OAM Surgery Center.
OAM Sports Medicine provides medical coverage and sponsorship for races, tournaments and marathons as well as several community teams for youth. Check out a list of our current partners for event ideas or contact us on behalf of your event.
